I see them on Instagram and Facebook. The mamas-to-be with the perfectly styled nurseries ready way before they pop out their little one. It's seems beautiful, serene and so special to be prepping everything for that new little person.
Did I do that with all three of my boys? Nope, nopity, nope! I was too busy puking, craving sushi, and sitting in my pjs watching Gilmore Girls to even think about beautifying a nursery. But baby #3 was my last chance and I was determined to at least have some artwork on the walls and make it look like I did more than just rummage through our storage boxes. ;)
Ok, so North (my little spitfire of a grand finale) is a year old and starting to think about moving to a big boy bed so I needed to document that I did, in fact give, him a nursery. He has to share it with all my camera equipment and some music gear, but when you have a small house, every room is multi-purpose. ;)
If you have met little Northy, you know he has a major thing for Sloths. Like he and Kristen Bell would have a lot to talk about. His favorite is that ratty stuffed sloth that he loves SOOOOO much he is literally chewing the face off.
'You're the best mama ever!'
'Wait a minute... Is this a nap?!?'
'YOU ARE EVILLLLLLL!!'
I'm overly proud of that weaving I made. Did I mention that I made that weaving myself? With no help? Well, I mean unless you count pinterest and 200 Google searches...
I've considered stealing that Tintin poster for my room but with the amount of stinky poo fights happening here (It's like I'm a terrible mother for trying to keep him fresh and dry!!),
I needed to look at something happy. ;)
Word of wisdom to my mama friends: you NEED that little owl-nightlight-white-noise-soother-magical-machine. I sleep through the night now!! *weeps with joy*
Wow! You stuck it out to the end! I probably should have warned you in the beginning that I'm hopped up on cold medicine as I write this...
'Mom, stop embarrassing me and just pick me up already!'
