Gina and Spencer's wedding took full advantage of St. Augustine. A garden ceremony right on St. George street (there wasn't a dry eye in the house!), portraits as we wandered through the beautiful streets, and a gorgeous poolside reception. It perfectly matched their thoughtfulness as a couple and the romance of their wedding.
Some of my favorite things about Saint Augustine
1. A great place for history lovers
When we moved from California to Florida, so many people told us that St. Augustine was their favorite spot. Of course it's beautiful, but I didn't realize that it was also the oldest city in America and there is always something new to learn about.
2. Endless chances for beautiful photos
Because of it's historical setting, there are so many textures, colors, old trees, little alleyways, and that basically equals photographer heaven. Another plus of the buildings being tucked so close is that there are a lot of shady spots to hide from that bright, Florida sun.
3. A great place for guests to explore
You don't need to feel bad about asking your guests to travel with a wedding location like this. Between the museums, beach, beautiful walks by the river, and amazing restaurants, they could stay busy for weeks!
